Client stories

The people on the other side of the handover.

Published client experiences from Loft Film and Radboud in’to Languages: multilingual script translation and university language-service support.

Published client experiences, in their words.

Two accounts, in the clients own words.

Both published accounts below come from people who commission language work as part of their job, not from marketing departments. Both describe ongoing relationships rather than a single project, which is the only way to see whether a translation partner actually holds up.

Loft Film describes explainer video script translation across a wide range of languages, where the constraint is production: a script that reads well but will not fit the timing is not finished work. Radboud in to Languages describes a university language service using outside capacity without giving up control of its own client relationships.

What the two have in common.

The projects look nothing alike. The reasons they worked are close to identical:

  • The scope was agreed in writing before the first file moved, including what was deliberately excluded
  • One point of contact handled coordination, rather than the client chasing individual linguists
  • Terminology decisions were recorded the first time they came up, so they did not get re-litigated
  • The review step was defined: who checks, what they check, and what happens when they disagree
  • Delivery windows accounted for the client own downstream work, not just our handover

What we do not publish.

A good deal of our work is under confidentiality, particularly white-label projects delivered through agencies where our name does not appear at all. That is the arrangement those clients are paying for, so those projects will not show up here.

If you need references closer to your own sector than the two published accounts, ask. We can usually arrange a conversation with an existing client, subject to their agreement, which is a better test than anything written on a website.
